Celebrate Pride in San Francisco: SF Pride Parade and Celebration Weekend

The 54th Annual LGBTQ+ Pride Parade and Celebration in San Francisco is set to culminate this weekend with a vibrant display of love and acceptance. The festivities will take over Market Street and Civic Center Plaza, offering a variety of events and performances for attendees to enjoy.

The SF Pride Celebration will be held on Saturday and Sunday at the Civic Center Plaza, with entrances opening at 11 a.m. and closing at 6 p.m. Attendees can look forward to performances at the Kaiser Permanente Beacon of Love Main Stage and various community stages featuring talented artists and entertainers.

On Sunday, the SF Pride Parade will kick off at 10:30 a.m. at the corner of Market and Beale streets, near the Embarcadero BART station. The parade route will run along Market Street and end at 8th and Market, where the celebration will continue at Civic Center Plaza. With over 280 contingents participating, including community groups and local businesses, the parade is expected to draw a crowd of up to a million spectators.

To make transportation easier for attendees, San Francisco Pride recommends taking BART and Muni to the parade. BART stations along the parade route include Embarcadero, Montgomery Street, Powell Street, and Civic Center/UN Plaza. Muni service will be rerouted around Civic Center Plaza for the weekend, so be sure to plan your route accordingly.

As the celebration unfolds, several streets will be closed to accommodate the festivities, so be prepared for potential traffic impacts. For more information on parade routes, performance schedules, and transportation options, visit the SF Pride website.

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to join the vibrant and inclusive community of San Francisco as they come together to celebrate love, diversity, and equality at the SF Pride Parade and Celebration this weekend.
